Brighton unveils “Coming Home” Sculpture

Today was a special day for our Brighton team and community residents with the unveiling of "Coming Home", an extraordinary symbol of community being brought together that was inspired by the wetlands and native birds that inhabit Brighton's nearby ecosystems. To bring the sculpture to life, Dream worked with Heavy Industries, FORT Architecture, and Saskatoon born designer Landon Anholt.

Changing perspectives

A dynamic installation, this spectacular art piece changes and shifts depending on the viewpoint. From a closer perspective by the Brighton Common roundabout, the details and shapes of homes intersecting is more clearly visible. From the perspective of those returning home along Brighton Common, the sculpture's full effect takes shape and a single dramatic silhouette of a soaring bird can be seen.

Making history

Dream is incredibly proud that this installation structure represents the largest-ever private donation of public art to the City of Saskatoon. Dream's vision for building better communities has always included a focus on beautiful environments, be it through character-rich architectural controls or incredible park spaces to unwind in and wind through, and civic art is as much a part of that formula as anything else.
